Einführung
As a preferred supplier for Roche Basel we are looking for an individual as
Scientist - Cellular and Soluble Biomarkers and Bioanalytics
contract for 1 year, with possible extension. The start date is asap or within 2 months. Remote/Home Office: flexible, home office will be possible upon discussion with the manager.
Aufgabenbeschreibung
- For several compounds in preclinical and clinical drug development, you act as a representative and project lead from the Chapter to analyse cellular and soluble Biomarkers.
- Plans, develops, performs and monitors complex flow cytometry experiments and functional assays internally and at contracted laboratories and academic partners, applying high scientific standards within the context of use in multicenter clinical studies.
- You develop assay strategies in global and cross-functional project teams that allow decision making and progress during drug development along the value chain from target assessment until clinical Proof of Concept
- Responsibility for designing and establishing experimental protocols, processing raw data, creating or reviewing reports to support the clinical biomarker team.
- Responsibility to analyse, summarise and present data to cross-functional teams.
- You assure a smooth transition of methods and knowledge into Late Stage Clinical Development
- You evaluate new technologies in the field, develop methods and apply them during drug development to support Biomarker assessment in clinical development.
- You outsource assays to external partners and assure timely and effective method development as well as successful transfer of know-how transfer of know-how.
Erforderliches Profil
- PhD in Biology, Immunology, Medical Science, Pharmacy, or similar with a robust understanding of
- and experience in clinical immunology
- 3+ years experience in the development of biomarker methods
- 5+ years experience in immunology
- Advanced expertise in Flow cytometry, with a thorough knowledge and experience working with different flow cytometry platforms (BDinstruments and Spectral flow cytometry - Cytek), analysing and interpreting flow cytometry data (FACSDiva, FlowJo, SpectroFlo, Spotfire, R, Omiq or similar data analysis platforms )
- Scientific background evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Expert knowledge in various technologies to analyse soluble proteins, cellular targets and cellular functions. These include immunoassays, flow cytometry and assays with living cells.
- You are aware of the requirements for the pre-clinical and clinical development of therapeutic drugs in the field of biomarkers and bioanalytics.
- You are aware of several disease pathways and are keen to understand new pathways, diseases and key MoA of lead compounds in the clinic.
- You are highly motivated and proactive with a high spirit of collaboration, excellent communication skills and ability to work in a highly self-managed manner in an agile matrix team with a sense of urgency and ability to deal with complex situations.

Nice to Have:
- Clinical and translational immunology experience in industrial settings is a plus.
